About the team
We are seeking a talented and motivated software developer to join our skilled development team at SLB Norway Technology Center in Oslo (Lysaker).

By joining our team, you will be embarking on a unique journey with the world's leading provider of technology to the global energy industry.

The position is on site, following SLB’s new BlueFlex program allowing partly use of home office.

The role
As a software engineer, you will work on developing new features, and ensure quality of deliveries, enabling users to achieve the highest quality and efficiency, honoring the highest standards in project management, built-in engines, concurrent collaborative engineering, and automated design validation. You will work in a cross-functional team of software developers and domain experts.

SLB software portfolio spans all technologies from cloud and web-based applications to computationally intensive scientific modelling. Our people create professional software for an exciting energy industry in a dynamic work environment.

Essential responsibilities

  • New feature development
  • Continuous improvement
  • Troubleshooting and investigating issues
  • Writing clean code
  • Writing unit / integration tests
  • Planning, design, review
  • Daily standup, rotating roles
  • Attention to detail and cyber security
  • Releasing new versions, managing deployment 

Experience and qualifications

  • Minimum bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering or similar.
  • Minimum 3-5 years' relevant experience can compensate for formal education.
  • Solid understanding of software development principles and design patterns. 
  • Deep understanding of Node.js and .NET Core. 
  • Experience with document database systems such as MongoDB or Cosmos DB. 
  • Experience with Frontend technologies: Angular, React or Vue.js.
  • Familiar with LEAN-management process is an advantage.
